Since its release, Patchmania has been featured on the iOS App Store in Best New Games, Best of March, Exclusively on iOS, and reached the #1 spot in both the Puzzle and Board Games categories. Patchmania has been played by millions of people worldwide and is available in 13 languages. After shipping a number of successful updates, Patchmania KIDS was released as a pay-one-and-play version of the game with hundreds of new and easier puzzles for children.

I worked on the small, bootstrapped team at Little Details as lead UX/UI Designer to architect, wireframe, and design the game's interface, as well as designed and developed the game's promotional website. I worked closely with the artist and lead developer to implement thoughtful interfaces that made Patchmania intuitive and—most importantly—fun to play.

Iterate, iterate, iterate

Dozens and dozens of revisions were completed for practically every view of the app as I took into account development and file size constraints, optimizing for multiple devices and display sizes, and usability. Below shows just a handful of versions that were created for the level pack selection screen. As we added new features like offline-downloading, regenerating lives, and unlocking packs with stars or purchase, the interface was reconsidered to reflect these new user and business changes.
